AB  - An important component of the modern global education market is the proliferation of global ratings of universities. Ratings are used by prospective students and their parents, university managers, government officials and other interested parties. Global ratings are of much interest in Russia as well. In this connection, the authors analyzed the existing approaches to the creation of global ratings and evaluated the place of Russian universities in these ratings.
